Part IB: Booklist

MVSTIB

BOD

The Department recommends that you purchase three textbooks for this course, one for General Pathology, one for Immunology and another for Infectious Diseases.

For General pathology you are recommended to buy either General and Systematic Pathology – Underwood or Robbins Basic Pathology. With the latter it may be worth considering spending the extra £20 and getting Robbins Pathologic Basis of Disease, particularly if you are considering studying Pathology for Part II.

For Immunology Parham is useful, particularly for its great glossary. For Infectious Diseases the recommended textbook is Mims’ Pathogenesis although our supervisor recommended Schaechter’s Mechanisms of Microbial Disease instead.
