Queens’ College Medical Society has recently invested in an update of the Medical Sciences section in the War Memorial Library here in Queens’. The update has included the addition of various textbooks from different fields of study which will be of great use to undergraduate and clinical students alike for years to come.
Though initially we have made a major investment, we would like to see continual review of the textbooks in the Medical Sciences library and further investment in the future. As this will be an ever developing collection of books we would like it be recognised as such. It is for this reason that the Medical Society has decided to name the collection: ‘The Theo Welch Collection’ in recognition of the loyalty and commitment Mr Welch has shown to Queens’ medical and veterinary students over many years.
The following books were added to the collection officially during the Garden Party on Tuesday 16th June 2009.
